Camping up Logan Canyon

Matt and I have had a hand-me-down tent since we got married. It has been to Lake Powell, Jackson Hole, and many other camping places throughout Utah. After getting soaked inside the tent last fall at Jackson (we were literally bailing water out of the tent with a dust pan), Matt and I decided it was time to buy ourselves a new one!

This was the first time we have used our new tent, and we love it! We went up Logan canyon and camped with Randy and Jenny and a whole bunch of Randy's cronies. There were kids running around everywhere and lots of noise, but it was a really fun couple of days.

In true Fischer style, Matt helped create this mega-fire. There were so many people camping that we couldn't all fit around the regular sized fire, so they put two fires together to make the giant fire!

Todd and Melissa came up to camp and stayed the entire time while Matt and I were there! It is so fun to have such good friends and was also fun to make some new ones this trip!

Brad has had his dirt bike for over a year now and Claire has been itching to try it out. A few of the kids had their own bikes and there was one small enough for Claire to try! Randy gave Claire some lessons and in no time she was cruising all over! I think it's time to buy another bike! She was awesome!

Camping always seems to bring out the dirtiest kids! This picture doesn't even do justice to how much dirt Claire had caked on her face and hands and everywhere else! The nice thing about having a trailer is that the kids get all cleaned up in the tub every night, only to get dirty again the next day!

Harrison even felt the need to share some dirt with Matt!

Bonding time with Harrison. He and Matt have a special connection as they both share a name:

Snuggling!

Overall, the new tent was a great purchase! Even though we FROZE our butts off the first night (I didn't plan for it to be sooo cold!), we had a great couple of days camping and are so excited for more this summer!
