October in the Fischer family is technically "Widow's month" because the women rarely see the men due to HUNTING SEASON. Well my "Widow's month" started early this year because of Matt's elk hunt. It is so cute to see him super excited, he was counting down the days until he could go hunting. He tried to get off work an extra day early, but that idea was quickly shot down considering that he told his boss not to count on him for SIX WEEKS due to all the hunts he is going on! As of today, he has not shot his elk, but that could change. He wants one so bad!
So luckily, I have had people taking care of me and filling my schedule! Last weekend, Matt's first weekend gone for his hunt, I started by heading up to Logan for Jenni's baby shower. She and her hubby Jared are expecting baby Trenton next month! I am always up for throwing a party, and Jenni just had moved into a new house, so I threw a September/apple themed shower in her new house. I love getting together with our cute roommates, and everyone came, even baby Olivia, Lindsay's cute girl! We had fun fighting cute baby/new house jealousy and hearing all of Jenni's plans for her new little one!

Then, Rachel (who I worked with at Copperview) and her husband Newel, invited me to Huntsville for an overnighter. We went boating with her family, had lots of food, and they introduced me to frisbee golf, which I learned is an actual game that is very fun! We played up at Snow Basin resort, and it was beautiful!

This week, I had to visit my hubby because I was missing him! So I took Wednesday off and went up to Strawberry on Tuesday night for campfire and night rides on the four-wheeler, then we woke up MEGA EARLY to go hunting! This was my first experience with all this, riding four-wheelers and walking around in the pitch black morning listening to scary elk noises. I pretty much fell asleep sitting there on the mountain looking for elk that were so far away that I couldn't even see them through the binoculars, but hey... I was there supporting my husband and he was thrilled to have me come share this with him. I hate that he is gone 24/7 for this, but he loves it and I can't stop him from doing something he loves so much.

(All I have to say is... THANK HEAVENS FOR MY COVERALLS!!!)
