Flaming Gorge Trip

Our annual trip to Flaming Gorge this year was amazing! We headed up on Wednesday and stayed until Sunday morning, which was perfect.
These are the best parts of this trip......
THE FAMILY:
This trip, my mom, Alex, Cassie and Jeff came with the whole Fischer crew (except Lance and Kendra couldn't come). Jenny's brother, Steven, and his wife Kari (and two dogs), came too, along with their cousin Brad, and his wife, Rachelle (and their two dogs). We had the most fun just hanging out together. It was fabulous, the best kind of a vacation!

PLAYING ON THE BOAT:
Even while riding on the boat, we were always having fun! Matt and Randy were the official drivers of the trip, and it was cute when Matt helped Brad drive. Even the kids loved just being on the boat. They were always begging to go out on the boat.

PLAYING ON THE BEACH:
While we were not on the boat, we spent the rest of the day relaxing on the beach! There was definitely a lot of tanning, reading, and talking. Jenny and Randy also brought their new puppy, Mollie. Matt went all goo-goo eyed when he saw her and was constantly playing with her and the other four dogs that came with us on this trip. Our biggest excitement though was when Jeff locked his keys in his car. It took FOREVER for the boys to figure out how to jimmy-rig the lock, but they finally did it in the end!

TUBING:
This year, we bought a good tube to take out, and it was totally worth it! I think everyone had a chance to go for a ride or two while the water was choppy. Alex and I are the tubing champions though!

SKIING AND WAKEBOARDING:
The water was nice enough that we all had plenty of opportunities to ski and wakeboard. It was so fun to get everyone out behind the boat! We have a lot of boating talent... My mom was a freaking champion on the slolem ski! She showed all the boys up!

THE KIDS:
Brad and Claire are the only kids in our family right now, so they get a lot of attention! They are so much fun, and we love them so much. Brad started learning how to water ski this trip. His uncle and dad forgot to tell him to let go of the rope if he fell down, so he drank a little too much water on his first try, but tried again and almost made it up! Maybe next trip he will make it up! Claire was hilarious the whole trip, we couldn't get enough of her!

You know you have too many toys when you can't fit them all in your driveway...
I spy a boat, two fifth-wheel trailers, a four-wheeler trailer, two trucks...

Bear Lake

Sorry for those of you who have already read about our family's Bear Lake trip on Jenny's blog and on Kendra's blog, because I am going to blog about it myself. Over the fourth of July weekend, Matt and I went up to Bear Lake to Kamie's parents' cabin. Matt wanted to ride his bike up, and I refused, so I drove up by myself and listened to Harry Potter on the iPod. We went to dinner with Lance, Kendra, Diet, and Myrna, at the restaurant at the golf course clubhouse. The next morning we played golf in the annual tournament. I have definitely improved since last year, in fact I helped our team at times, which was awesome. I even won the women's closest to the pin on one of the holes! Even though we didn't play very good, our team still won more money than any of the other teams we knew! Randy was pretty pissed (SUCKER!). For the rest of the weekend, we ate, relaxed, I read my book, played with the kids, and just messed around together. I have to say, it was nice not to have our own kids to chase around (I think that is a clue that we should not have kids yet... Sorry to everyone who is hoping we will have kids soon). We watched fireworks from the deck on the 3rd and 4th, our mini celebration. Matt and I took a ride on the motorcycle around the lake, and it was beautiful. If it wasn't winter there for 10 months of the year, I would consider a cabin there someday. I can't bring myself to having a cabin somewhere where it is too cold to take my boat out. On Monday, we didn't have to work, so we played another game of golf and headed home. We always have so much fun with everyone, and this trip was no different! Thank you Gerry and Karen for housing the rowdy Fischer family for a weekend, you are wonderful!

All the boys we played with in the tournament:
Team 1: Lance, Matt, Tyler, Me
Team 2: Gerry, Tim, Derek, Terry
Team 3: Randy, Diet, and 2 friends from Randy's work

Summer Job

A couple weeks ago, Amy McKinlay text me and asked if I could help watch the kids in the afternoons during the week for the rest of the summer. Her other nanny found a job and couldn't work for them anymore. Well I figured it would be fun, and we could always use the money, so I said YES! I have spent the last couple weeks swimming and playing. Definitely can't complain. I was also very pleased to find out that I can fit THREE carseats in my Ford. So say what you like about Fords, I am very proud.

Park City with JetBlue

A couple weeks ago (I'm a little behind...), Matt, Alex and I went up to Park City to meet my mom and Jeff. JetBlue was having a day for their employees and everything was free, including food, ice cream, Alpine Coaster, Alpine Slide, and Zip Line. By the time we got up there (since some people have to work... I'm not including myself here, just Alex and Matt), all the Zip Line tickets were gone! Plus, there were huge lines for everything! We got in for dinner at the very end, and they were running out of everything. So we got in line for the Alpine Slide, and waited forever to go down. We got stuck behind some slow little kids at the very end, but the ride was fun. Then we got in line to ride the Alpine Coaster and someone told us the line was 2 hours long! Yeah right! We waited for 30 minutes and couldn't stand it. All the lines were this bad. We didn't even get our free ice cream. We definitely will have to go back sometime and do everything right! It still ended up being a fun day though. Park City is awesome.
