Five

Five babies this month for friends and family!

Jenny and Randy Fischer (Matt's brother) were first with Harrison Mathias Fischer on October 6.
Jenni and Jared Ash (my roommate from USU) were next with Trennon Wayne Ash on October 8.
Marianne and Jon Olydroyd (our landlords) had Peter Zenger Oldroyd on October 11?
Kim and Nate Christensen (Diet and Myrna's next door neighbors) had Analiese Rae Christensen on October 25.
Kamie and Tim Fischer (Matt's brother) had Reagan Amy Fischer on October 27.

Wow! Busy, busy!

Reagan Amy Fischer

We have another new addition to the Fischer family! Tim and Kamie welcomed baby Reagan Amy into their family and ours last night at 11:00 PM after quite the day of labor. Kamie is definitely a hero for what she had to do to get that baby here. When I visited today, baby Reagan slept in my arms for almost an hour, so obviously she was pretty tired herself.

Born on October 27, 2011 at 11:00 PM
6 pounds 14 ounces
21 inches
37 weeks

She was trying so hard to open her eyes, but it was too bright!

When I was holding her, Timmy had to glue her little bow to her head. Daddy already has his priorities straight. Beauty comes first.

Congratulations Tim and Kamie! We love you guys!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yes, I am one of those people who loves their own birthday, and this year was no exception! About two months ago, Matt started teasing me, telling me he had already bought my birthday present. But he was sneaky, he didn't use our credit cards, or money from our accounts, he had his brother buy the present so I had no way to figure out what it was. After about a month of pestering him ("Is it this? Is it that?"), he gave in and told me we were going to the Jason Aldean concert on my birthday! Good job Matt! I was so proud of his gift-buying and secret-keeping skills.

On Friday night, I went to Thriller with Kamie and Kendra, then Kendra and I drove up to deer camp after the show to hang out with everyone. The morning of my birthday I really wanted to see a deer get killed so I went out with Diet, Randy, and Brad in the truck. I wasn't about to get up with Matt and Lance and ride the four-wheeler in the freezing cold while it was still dark. We did see a deer, but not one get killed. We went back to camp, had some scones, and I convinced Matt into taking me on a four-wheeler ride. Again, we saw a deer, but not one get killed.

After our ride, we headed down to Salt Lake for our concert! The concert was at the E center (I don't know what it's called now), where the Carrie Underwood concert was a couple years ago. Wow. I have never been to a more party-like concert. Seriously, half the songs were about beer or drinking, and even two of the three acts drank beer on stage. Luckily, we did not get any beer spilled on us, nor did we sit by anyone who was too drunk. We did watch the drunk people leave and that was hilarious! The concert was fantastic.

Thompson Square, who sing "Are you gonna kiss me or not" opened:

Followed by Chris Young, who sings "Voices," and "A Good Man," among others:

And finally, Jason Aldean! Wow, what a great performer. I was singing the whole time. I'm sure the people around us thought I was drunk too.

Thank you Matt for a very fun birthday, and for giving me a reason to wear my cowboy boots. He also bought me a concert shirt to add to my collection. Good husband award!

Thriller 2011

This year was my sixth year to see "Thriller" by Odyssey Dance Theater and it was still fantastic! Every year they keep the same dances, but add in one or two new ones. I am always amazed at how talented these people are! And this year I got to see my old friend Melissa (from Skyline) who dances for the company, after the show! Kamie and Kendra were the only people who were able to come this year, but we still had a blast!

Visiting the Baby

So just after Harrison was born, Tim, Kamie, Matt and I were able to run up to Logan to see the family, and of course the new baby. Matt and I had two new babies to see. My roommate from college, Jenni, had just had her baby boy, Trennon Wayne Ash, just two days after my new nephew was born. So we went over to their new house to visit the new parents. I'm pretty sure that two weeks later I still have santizer on my hands from Jared before he would let me hold the baby, but that's ok, it's a new baby right? People are allowed to be a little crazy (crazy in a good way Jared!)

Then we went over to the NICU to see Harrison again. This time we got to hold him! Yay! He was doing a lot better, and Matt was happy to hold his new nephew!

Harrison Mathias Fischer

We have a new little fisch in the family! On Thursday, Jenny gave birth to a new baby boy! He was born six weeks early, but he and Jenny are healthy and doing well.

Harrison Mathias Fischer
5 pounds, 7 ounces
October 6, 2011
34 weeks

I was able to go up on Thursday night and see Jenny, Randy, and the kids, including Harrison in the NICU. I am always amazed to see a new baby, especially one in the NICU, where he is so tiny, but also so complete. We are so excited for a new nephew, especially Matt, who Harrison shares a name with (although Harrison's middle name is the German version of Matthew).

Brad and Claire were too young to go into the NICU to see their new brother, so we had to hold them up to the window in Harrison's room. Brad was so concerned about all the tubes and monitors, what a cute brother! Claire was funny as she was trying to remember his name!

Tiny baby feet!

Randy's two hands are as big as the whole baby!

Harrison started crying and it was the cutest, tiniest thing I had ever heard!

Fall at Strawberry

Yay for fall! I am loving this wet and cold weather. But, I also love the changes in nature for fall. I went up to Strawberry AKA "Camp" last Sunday to hangout, and Matt and I went for a four-wheeler ride. I haven't driven a four-wheeler in about two years (three years?), when I rolled the four-wheeler over myself and Matt. It was freaky, and ever since, I have not driven a four-wheeler by myself. So this was fun to get out again on the four-wheeler.

As we were riding, I noticed that nature not only was changing into fall, but was looking like it was getting ready for Halloween!
