Photo Overload!

So the last few weeks have been a little crazy! Getting settled in two part-time jobs, living a nomadic life in search of a home for the summer, and keeping up with wedding plans and playing! So here is a quick update of all the goings-on in my life...

Adventures in nannying! The twins decided that playing with the toys from the toy box was not enough... they wanted to play with the toys IN the toy box. It was good until Andrew closed the lid on Zachary...

I can't believe how big they are now!


Timmy and Matt's favorite song "Riding With Private Malone" inspired this funny car ride...

I kept trying to video Tim and take pictures of him, but I could never find him because he was hanging out the window singing to the passing cars! He was having so much fun!


Tim, Kamie, Matt and I went to the Scottish festival at Thanksgiving Point last weekend. No, Matt did not get me to eat haggis... SICK! But we did have some freaking good kettle corn (a must at all these types of events), and had the pleasure of watching Matt and Tim dress up and play with toy swords...



My sister Cassie had her spring showcase for her dance studio last week. It was so fun to see her dance, it reminded me of all the performances I used to do when I was little, and also reminded me how my daughters will take dance classes when they are young! Bring on the tutus and glitter!

ENGAGED!

Yes it is true. Matt proposed! Here is the story....

Tim and Kamie bought a fire pit for the front porch and we have fires like every night out there, so it wasn't weird for Tim and Kamie to be over hanging out. We were even taking pictures "to show Diet" because he is not a huge fan of the fire pit plan (that's what you get for going out of town Diet!).


Later that night, we are chilling by the fire still and Kamie is like, "Matt, we brought your birthday present over, do you want to open it?" and he gets all excited and starts opening his present. As you can see, he is holding the present away from me so I cannot see what is inside. I was practically falling out of my chair to see what he got because he seemed so excited and even said, "This is the best birthday present EVER." Duh, of course I'm going to want to see it.


Next thing I know, Matt whips out the ring box from the "birthday present" and gets down on one knee and proposes. He totally caught me off guard and I was 100% surprised. Way to go Matt. Kamie was snapping pictures while she and Tim basked in their glory of pulling off the surprise. Even Timmy kept the secret!


My ring is beautiful and I am sooooo happy that Matt and I are getting married!


Wedding plans are coming along. I am OCD about everything, and have made about a million lists of everything to do, to wear, to buy, etc, etc, etc, already. The date is August 15 so mark your calendars! Love you all!

Sarah and Andrew Moffitt

So last Friday, one of my best friends Sarah got married! The reception was at the Salt Lake Country Club and was amazing! It was soooo fun to see all the girls, it is sad that we only get together at weddings now. I love them all! Sarah looked beautiful of course and the cake was yummy. Congratulations Sarah!

California with Matt

So last week, Matt and I took a little trip in honor of Matt's 24th birthday (June 6th) and went to California for the day, thanks to my mom and Jeff Fox who have sweet deals flying. We rented a car, a puke-gold colored "KiaRio", and drove down the coast to Laguna Beach. It was typical California smog in the morning so we didn't even go in the ocean, although we walked along the beach and even laid down and took a little nap on the sand. Then we walked through Laguna and checked out the shops and had an amazing lunch at this little restaurant in town. Then we got back in the KiaRio and drove to Anaheim to walk by Disneyland and do some shopping in Downtown Disney. Then we headed back to the airport and came home. It was such a fun day and definitely inspired more trips like that for the future!

In our KiaRio, the brakes were really sensitive, so basically every time we stopped I almost flew through the windshield... not to mention the time when Matt forgot we were driving an automatic and thought the brake was the clutch. We also had the most uninformative map on earth, it was a miracle we got where we needed to go, good thing I have some amazing navigational skills.
