February Golfing

Of course, Matt can't stay away from the golf course! On Saturday, we woke up to sunshine and Matt wanted to go golfing! After running a few errands and having lunch, we finally got to the golf course and it wasn't too sunny, or warm, anymore, but we still played. Matt, Tim and Diet played a great game while I watched, and froze, in the cart. I am a fair weather golfer, so I'll gladly wait for the temperature to go over 60 before I'm out golfing! But, boys will be boys...

(I WAS TOLD BY MATT THAT I MADE AN ERROR REPORTING HIS GOLF SCORE... HERE IS THE ACTUAL REPORT)
P.S. Matt and Tim should probably continue to golf in gross weather... Matt played 4 over par... And Timmy played 5 over!

Matt

Matt has done some funny, random things the past couple days and I just had to share them with everyone who loves Matt too.

*On Valentine's Day, Matt told me he had to decide between getting me the Lady Antebellum CD and "Gay Jackson." "Gay Jackson" is of course the THIS IS IT, Michael Jackson movie. He said he decided to go with the CD because he knew I would make him watch the DVD with him and he did not want that...
*I get home and Matt has a mustache. Of course, I say, "It's not mustache-March yet, you need to shave that crap off your face." So he started looking for his razor to finish, because he had been distracted by something and didn't finish, but he couldn't find it anywhere. Then, all of a sudden, he runs into the man cave and brings out his razor. He apparently had been shaving and Tim called about the Jazz, which got Matt distracted, which led him to his gun safe in the man cave, where he set down his razor. WHAT?!?!

These are only a few of the convoluted workings of the mind of a boy. I will never understand.

Happy Heart Weekend

This weekend was definitely a good one for Matt and I. It was really fun on Friday to celebrate Valentine's Day with my students, they loved having a little party and trading valentines, I forgot what that was like. But, by the end of the day, I was ready for it to be over! Parties are harder when you are the teacher. Plus I have not been feeling wonderful, so it was awesome for the week to be over and to be getting ready for a 3 day weekend! After school on Friday, Matt took me to see "Valentine's Day" which was pretty cute, not great, but okay. Then we did laundry at Matt's parents' house and watched the opening ceremonies of the olympics! I love the olympics. On Saturday, Matt had to go to work, so I hung out at home until he got home. He brought home roses and chocolate for me and the new Lady Antebellum CD! Matt and I are not really the surprise/romantic type so it was pretty sweet. Then he zonked out on the couch, and by the time he woke up, we basically couldn't do much, so we hung out at home and watched more olympics. We went to sacrament meeting on Sunday, but both were not feeling good so we went home and slept until around 3:00. Then we went out for Valentine dinner at my mom's house with my mom and Jeff, and Cas. Of course, we had to torture them by making them watch the first part of the all-star game! Haha who would have thought we would do that on Valentine's Day. Thankfully, Matt didn't have to work on Monday, so we slept in together and went to see the "Lightning Thief" movie in the afternoon. I am reading that to my kids right now and the movie is way different than the book (which is way better). Then, we finished the rest of our laundry and headed home to do homework and get ready for school, work and getting back to normal life. What a great weekend. Matt, I love you so much and am so grateful for everything you do for me. I have never been happier in my entire life. XOXOXO
